The Zone 3

Green House

20251206_132300.jpg

The greenhouse is a quiet space in winter — cold, still, and full of possibilities. As the outdoor garden rests under snow, this little structure becomes a place for experiments, early seedlings, and slow, steady preparation for spring.

Right now, I’m setting things up for the colder months ahead. I’ll test a small solar heater to see how much warmth it can hold on freezing nights, and I’ll be trying a double-greenhouse method to trap extra heat for early seed starting. There’s also a bit of paint and finishing work still on the list, but progress is happening one small task at a time.

As this season unfolds, I’ll share updates, experiments, and observations — what works, what needs adjusting, and what surprises me along the way. If you’re preparing your own greenhouse or dreaming of starting one, you’re welcome to follow along and we'd love to hear how you greenhouse grows.
